When my now 16 year old was just a baby and I was suffering from Post Natal Depression, I was introduced to a group of ladies who would later become known as "The Stressed Out Sisters", (yes I chose the name) and papercrafting.
The longer I spent in this group, the more I saw my crafting family grow. The group helped to move me past PND thank goodness, and saw the other women I had spent so many Wednesday mornings with, move on to new careers, relationships and going on to study.
I discovered that crafting isn't just about making something and putting it away or giving it away. The time taken to craft is a healing process. It can take your mind of the way things aren't working, it is a meditative process. When I'm feeling down, a little crafting makes me feel better.
